In the most recent study published by the United States Small Business Association (SBA), growth of Native American-owned businesses rose over 30% from 2007-2016.
As of 2018, there were over 272,000 Native American and Alaskan Native-owned private businesses in the U.S., generating over $39B in revenues with a workforce of over 280,000 employees.
The primary industries with the highest average number of employees’ ratio include:

• Depository credit intermediation
• Non-residential building construction
• Heavy and civil engineering construction
• Gaming industry
